Venue: 12 strategic centers of the archipelago
Description: Women’s March Against Violence (Militarism, Sexism, WTO, Arroyo: Retreat!) Simultaneous marches and forums will be held in 12 strategic centers of the archipelago, where members of WMW-Philippines will coordinate with each other. For the National Capital Region (NCR), the destination is the US Embassy.  Similar symbolic destinations will be determined by members in the 11 other centers.  All marches and forums will be conducted on March 8, 2010.  Early promotion and invitations will be done so that all other women’s groups and support groups will coordinate with WMW-Philippines as lead.  A press conference will be held before.  Support groups, may be of men/mixed groups will station themselves along the march to hand water to the marchers.  The WMW song will be played throughout, as well as the batucada.  US Militarism is the main issue, and to this we will link all action areas, especially violence against women.
