Belgium
6th March
Venue: Brussels
Description: We are planning a march of about 2,5 km, starting at the Stock Exchange and ending at the Law Courts of Brussels. On this route, we will stop at 4 symbolic places related to each of the four action areas of the World March of Women. At each stop, a symbolic ceremony will take place. During the march, the participants will attach ribbons with slogans related to the four action areas, thus leaving a visible trace of our passage through the city. Flyers containing our main claims, prepared in our four working groups, will be handed out to the public. As a token of solidarity, all participants will be wearing a bracelet with the symbols and colours of the WMW. At the end, speakers will address the participants from a platform, resuming our claims. A brochure with a more elaborate version of our demands will be handed out to the press and politicians/decision makers. Festive ending with music.
