Japan: 8th March action in Tokyo

They held “Celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day! Tokyo Mimosa Parade” on the 7th of March, as part of the 3rd International Action of the WMW.

Unfortunately it was very cold and rainy day, but
women marched for an hour through the downtown Tokyo. "Mimosa Parade", was
open to all people who favored the purpose of the parade. Participants of
the march had their voices against all forms of discrimination against women
heard during the parade. Many groups, such as anti-military-bases group,
anti-globalization groups, WSF groups, anti-VAW groups, abortion advocacy
groups, lesbian groups, the group which has struggled with “Comfort Women”
issue, the group which has struggled with poverty of women, and feminist
lawmakers, participated in the "Mimosa Parade". After the parade, we had an
opportunity for exchange activities for 2 hours.
