Our 3rd International Action has begun!
New Caledonia opens up the 3rd International Action of the WMW in 27th February.
Saturday the 27th March, our sisters in New Caledonia launched the International Action in their country with a national mobilisation in Mwa Kaa Square in the capital, Nouméa. In this central square decorated with banners and flags, they also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the declaration of International Women’s Day and publically presented and debated our 4 Action Areas.
It was also in New Caledonia that we started our 24 Hours of Feminist Solidarity on the 17th October 2005, the closing mobilisation of our 2nd International Action, so the fact that the 3rd International Action should begin in this country is particularly special and significant.
