Sri Lanka: 8th March Activities

Activities held in:
   1. Thaldeka,
   2. Kadawatha
   3. Kadawatha south
   4. Wennappuwa Pradeshheya sabe
   5. Negombo
   6. Peragas handiya
The event number 04 was a public meeting, street drama, video presentations (Neranjala provided the video that she borrowed from another organisation) and was organised by the local political authority, and the WMW took part on it. It had about 300 participants. All other activities had around 250 - 300 participant following the activities (stories, street drama, children's plays etc).
Most of the activities were concentrated in to the northwest coast, specifically with the fishing communities.
 The main theme was democracy and women's role on achieving democracy, because we need a highly committed civil society to advocate for a just society, free from violence against women.
